Amanda is a former elite gymnast, professional Latin dancer & professional aerialist / general "cirque" style performer.
As a professional performer, Amanda has performed around the country and internationally in a variety of events. Such events, "gigs" include televised pop culture, the VMA's, Ultra Music Festival, America's Got Talent sporting events like the Orange Bowl, live concerts opening for P-Diddy and Will Smith, and private parties & corporate events for hundreds of customers such as Usher, Jamie Foxx, Cisco, Catersource, Hard Rock and many more!
While traveling the country, training & performing alongside the most talented & seasoned professionals in the industry, Amanda built her knowledge and love for the sport/art of aerial as both a performer and a coach. She trained with & learned from professional performers and choreographers of Cirque Du Soleil, Le Reve, and many other prestigious companies who have paved the path for the circus/cirque industry today.
Amanda decided to share this unique art with the public, offering to train those interested in learning various circus/cirque training styles.
She opened the first aerial training school in Orlando, FL, in 2008. At this time, Amanda was one of the few aerial instructors in the US.
5 years after opening in Orlando, Amanda moved back to her home state of RI.
Arielle Extreme was born!
Yet again, the first (and & only professionally run) aerial training school in RI!
Amanda feels blessed to offer a welcoming environment in an excellent facility with safe and supportive training for her students to grow together and enhance their love for this creative and athletic art of aerial.

Sherri has been taking classes with Arielle Extreme for the past 6 years while also fulfilling the duties of our Office Manager. Before finding her passion of aerial alerts she was a dance teacher for 10 years, a member of the State Ballet of RI and a performer in Walt Disney World.
Sherri's broad spectrum of professional dance abilities in areas of tap, pointe ballet, jazz, hip hop, etc has made her on the most versatile and mesmerizing of our elite students and she loves to share her abilities and gifts with her students choreographing some of the most fun and creative acts for her performance level students.
She's proudly one of our top coaches coaching all levels of aerial silks and lyra. Without Sherri and her amazing organizational skills, Arielle would fall apart! The first hello our students receive is usually from Sherri, the rock for everyone here at Arielle!
THE HISTORY OF ARIELLE
Arielle was first established in Orlando, FL, in 2008 under the name A.C. - A.C.T.S. by Amanda Cortellesso.
This was the first and ONLY aerial training in Orlando, FL.
There are now over 10 locations in the central F.L. area alone!
Amanda is proud to have started what became such a famous wave of fitness & fun for many who also turned their interest into their career!
Now the same is happening here in Rhode Island!
Studios are "popping up" by former students of Amanda.
She is proud to have instilled the love of flying as these new beginner coaches offer recreational aerial and share the art form trained by Arielle Extreme.
Amanda moved back to RI in 2011 and soon opened Arielle Arts, Rhode Island's First & Only professionally owned & monitored aerial training school.
Amanda decided to rename the school in 2016, calling it "Arielle Extreme," offering her students various styles of aerial training and performance opportunities.
She then trained many students to teach the beginner to lower intermediate level of aerial and put RI on the map for being one of the top studios in the country!
We have been blessed to work with children and adults of all levels & backgrounds to achieve their personal goals in our studio.
Many have enjoyed becoming more confident & fit. In contrast, others have gone off to pursue a professional career in the aerial / circus industry, taking their training to new heights (pun intended) 😏 being accepted by production groups such as Circus Smirkus for the youth or Circus production companies for adults.
We are also very proud of students who performed in festivals nationally, placing 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and always in the top 10 every time!

Arielle Extreme is Rhode Island's FIRST & ONLY aerial training school owned by a professional aerialist & professional coach.
We have been in business for over ten years, offering classes and private lessons to children and adults, beginners through to the professional level.
Our owner (Amanda) was a professional aerialist and athlete and has been teaching/ coaching aerialists for over 15 years.
💥95% of the aerialists in RI come from Arielle Extreme.
☝🏼Although many of our former students have become very good aerialists and are enthusiastic about sharing the aerial skills they were taught, they are not professional.
These former students have taken our beginner-level teacher trainings, but sadly some have not continued to educate beyond this basic training.
Since these students/beginner teachers are no longer with us at Arielle Extreme, we feel the need to share this safety concern.
Arielle Extreme is the only professionally run aerial training facility in Rhode Island with continued education for our instructors.
We urge newcomers to be aware of an "instructor's" professional history and teaching experience before participating in classes or lessons.
At Arielle Extreme, you can rest assured that the continued education and growth of the instructors is an ongoing process by the professional owner at Arielle Extreme. This ensures our students' "extreme" safety and creates an excellent positive aerial experience!
